The Online Application Process
The Ministry of Home Affairs has centralized the process via the SSD portal. Manual applications at Embassies are being phased out to ensure transparency.

Create an account on the Security Services Division (SSD) portal. Use a valid, permanent email address as your certificate will be sent here.
2. Complete Application
Fill in accurate personal details.
Critical: Ensure the spelling of your name matches your supporting documents exactly.
3. Upload Documents
Scan Foreign Passport, Citizenship Cert, and BD Proof.
Pro Tip: Keep file sizes optimized. If born abroad, upload your birth certificate + parents' BD docs in a single PDF if possible.
4. E-Payment
Pay the fee (~BDT 5,000 equivalent) via debit/credit card.
Exemption: The 300 Taka non-judicial stamp is NOT required for applicants applying from abroad.
5. Verification & Issuance
The Special Branch (SB) performs police verification in BD. Process takes 3-6 months.
